20 – Happy Friday! You made it! Smile and say cheese
I will let the box of Frost donuts (so sad when the empty box is in the recycle bin!) here at work say my “cheese” for me! I threatened Danny with a plastic fork to the head if he didn’t let go of my maple bar with bacon – bwahaha!
17 – Got a pet? Share them with the world!
little dude chillin’ after a walk …
16 – Monday motivation. What motivates you?
Mounds & piles ‘o’ work to get done in order to see a clean desktop!
15 – Happy Father’s Day! Snap a pic or share one of an awesome dad!
whether it’s dogs or two now adult sons – he’s a great Dad to all …
14 – Flag Day! Got one flying in the warm breeze?
always & the Marine Corps flag, too …
13 – Friday the 13th! Are you superstitious and ducking for cover, or out and about?
Edmonds Art Festival weekend! my best find – a beautiful stoneware pile plate in the colors & texture I love with the added bonus of a beautiful filigree handles and lots of little details around the rim. never would have believed that someone made this for $20 … best bargain of the day! and not many people there due to the rain, so kind of a double bonus …
am going to use it for summer fruit on the counter until apple season started, then it’s going to be the apple tart, pie, crumble, betty pan after that!
12 – Treat yourself, it’s almost the weekend!
not an owner of more ‘things’ but a giver of things … sometimes giving something to another is the best treat you can give yourself. am still focused on Teddy & where he came from and the wonderful work that the Three Rivers Humane Society does — re-homing dogs, not euthanizing, very small budget, small, clean & efficient place they have to do this. how does the small town (6,225 residents) in the middle of ‘no-where’ Oregon manage to rescue & re-home so many dogs? the power of the internet (the good!) with Petfinder, Pettango and other sharing media like Facebook and their web site … on their web site is a wish list of things that the shelter needs and that their budget doesn’t always have room for. would rather know that they spend their precious funds on food & vet care rather than collars, leashes or toys .. so they are now my chosen charity, in order to help more pups like Teddy find their forever home. so today’s ‘treat’ is a box of three new Easy Walk Harnesses, seven collars, some rope toys, a harness & leash that will be heading their way, plus something very special to me – the big blue collar that we brought Teddy home in. I’ve washed it and am returning it, hoping it will bring good luck and a wonderful home to the next pup from Madras, Oregon to wear it!
